lab.nomanali.online — Personal Engineering Lab & Live Playground
From Paper to Playground — published research rebuilt as live, interactive experiments you can open in a browser and take apart.
ExperimentSep2026—present·1mo
Next.jsReactTypeScript
An ongoing, public engineering lab that re-implements the core mechanisms of published research as self-contained browser-native experiments, and publishes each one live as it stabilises.
Most papers get read, not run. The abstraction survives; the intuition does not. This lab exists to close that gap.
The method
Pick the mechanism. Not the headline result — the actual causal claim the paper rests on.
Re-implement it. Rebuild from the paper and its references, in the open.
Expose the knobs. Whatever the authors swept quietly over, the playground makes adjustable.
Publish it live. No local setup, no install step, no notebook you have to trust.
Why it is built this way
Everything runs in the browser on Next.js, React, and TypeScript — no backend, no accounts, no state to babysit. An experiment you cannot open in five seconds is a demo nobody opens, and a demo nobody opens teaches nothing.
Status
Actively ongoing since September 2026. Experiments are added and reworked as they stabilise, so what is live at any moment is a snapshot of the work rather than a finished catalogue.
