Peer-reviewed research presented at IEEE ICCIS 2021 and published in IEEE Xplore on automated visual assessment of human muscles using deep convolutional neural networks.
29Nov2021—30Nov2021·1mo
Derived directly from the computer vision muscle detection service developed for Noman's BSCS Final Year Capstone Project, this peer-reviewed research presents a convolutional neural network (CNN) pipeline for automated visual segmentation and assessment of human muscle anatomy. The paper was presented at the 4th IEEE International Conference on Computing & Information Sciences (ICCIS 2021) organized by PAF-KIET, Karachi on November 29–30, 2021, and indexed in IEEE Xplore.

Presented at 4th IEEE International Conference on Computing & Information Sciences (ICCIS 2021)
This research originated directly from the computer vision muscle assessment service engineered during Noman's BSCS Final Year Capstone Project (Diet & Exercise Recommendation System) at NUCES-FAST.
Core Methodology
Computer Vision Segmentation: Implemented convolutional neural networks to localize and segment human muscle groups from standard RGB visual captures.
Objective Diagnostics: Created an automated physical assessment baseline to support data-driven rehabilitation, training, and physiotherapy.
Downstream Association: Provided sensory feedback to an event-driven recommendation engine (Apriori algorithm) for dynamic diet and workout scheduling.
